AIDA – Privacy Notice

The Aida online support service is a free to use tool developed and run by Anthony Collins Solicitors LLP. Whilst we do not require your personal data, nor that of anyone else, such as a family member, we understand that whilst you interact with Aida, you may wish to reference personal information.

The purpose of this privacy notice is to inform you how we will manage this personal data and ensure you understand your data rights.

What information we collect, use, and why

We may collect or use the following information as you interact with Aida in order to help provide you with a service:

  • Names and contact details
  • Marital status
  • Third party information (such as family members or other relevant parties)
  • Details regarding your personal circumstances, as well as family members

Lawful bases and data protection rights

Under UK data protection law, we must have a “lawful basis” for collecting and using your personal information. There is a list of possible lawful bases in the UK GDPR. You can find out more about lawful bases on the ICO’s website.

  • Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information. You can request other information such as details about where we get personal information from and who we share personal information with. If you make a request, we must respond to you without undue delay and in any event within one month.

Our lawful bases for the collection and use of your data within the Aida service is:

  • Consent – we have permission from you after providing you with all the relevant information. To be clear, you do have the right to withdraw your consent at any time and we will delete your personal data on request.

We will only receive the personal data you choose to type into Aida and keep this for 12 months before deletion.
